Changes on lordiarmy.webs.com

We've made a few changes on the website to keep it possible for us to maintain it perfectly. The stuff from "style" page has been moved under the "Lordi" page. "News" has been taken away from the navigation because it works as our index page and can be found by clicking the LORDI Army logo.

The most notable change is that we are sadly closing the fan club online that has been more or less dead for a long time. It still exists for a few weeks but it will be closed permanently before the end of the year. We have noticed that our FB groups has taken the first place as the community.

Maintaining a server and keeping the domain name is not free and that's the reason we have added a few ads in the website - to get something back. Hope you don't mind and if you use Adblock, we would be glad if you turned it off at least while using LORDI Army.

Stay tuned for the new stuff and remember it's only pretty when it's nasty - All hail the freaks!

Lordi will perform at Tuska festival 2016

Finnish Tuska festival has announced Lordi as one of the acts of the 2016 line-up. Next year it's been 10 years of Lordi's most successful album so far and Tuska has promised that "Finland’s own hard rock ambassadors will fire up the roof by hitting the Tuska stage with their The Arockalypse 2006 Redux Show." The tickets are already on sale. Last time Lordi performed in Tuska back in 2003.

Mr L spotted in Rovaniemi

On Monday Mr L joined the celebration party of Rovaniemi's football club RoPS in Rovaniemi and performed Sinisellä Sydämellä that he wrote back in 2013. You can find a short video clip on Instagram. He has also given a new audio interview for Rabid Noise.

Recordings for new studio album starts in December!

Mr L has confirmed that Lordi will enter the studio in December to begin recording their 8th studio album for a 2016 release. The band is now preparing for Russian concert while writing new material and doing demos.

"We come up with new songs all the time, we have new material all the time, and we have the positive problem of having anything from 40 to 60 songs that are demoed fully, to choose the 10 to 13 songs that are going to make it to the album. It's nevertheless a problem, even though it's a positive problem, that we write all the time, and there's a lot of material, so why should we be waiting? So it's better to get them out of your system and keep working because that's what we want to do."

He also gave some background details about Lordi's upcoming first shows in Australia:

"It's been over a decade or more where there have been quite a few try outs for that. We've been to New Zealand even though I know it's not that close but looking at it from our side of the planet, it is kind of close. We've been to Japan many times and I know it's not that close but once again [laughs], from our side of the planet it looks like it is close. But it never worked out and this is such a funny coincidence, it's weird how this happened so we as a band are so grateful to this one fan, this one dude who contacted the manager of Soundwave Festival and talked about getting Lordi over there. And he said yeah and the organiser of Soundwave contacted our guitar player Amen and then he got in contact with our booking agency and boom, next thing we're there. So we owe it to that one fan which I am so sad that I don't remember his name, I should have memorised it so I could say his name, but I really want to meet the guy and we are really grateful for that one guy. Because sometimes it only takes just one fan [laughs], to make things happen. I know it sounds like a bad movie script but it's exactly what happened so that guy had more power than all these booking agencies from all the years that tried to do it so many times."

Lordi will perform their first concerts in Australia next year as they are part of Soundwave festival 2016:

Hella has confirmed that she is "slowly getting back to business" and will appear in the upcoming shows. All thanks to Nalle for being her substitute!

Hella's substitute is Nalle

Hella's substitute from the same toy box, Nalle, is taking care of Hella's keyboards for a while. He was seen for the first time last night in Rovaniemi, Finland and can be spotted next time at Rockfels in Germany on August 8.

The setlist of Rovaniemi included Alice Cooper cover "He's Back (The Man Behind The Mask)" but otherwise it was just a short version of Tour Force set. Mr L and Amen were celebrating their 400th Lordi concert together. We uploaded a few photos from the concert in our Gallery. For those who are interested, LORDI Army Russia offers some good close ups of Nalle.

Lordi performs Hard Rock Hallelujah tonight

Lordi is taking a day-off from the tour because they are performing in Eurovision Greatest Hits concert tonight in London! The concert features the most famous winning acts of the contest.

The show will be broadcast over Easter and beyond in Australia (SBS), Austria (ORF), Belgium (VRT & RTBF), Bulgaria (BNT), Denmark (DR), Finland (YLE), France (France 2), Greece (NERIT), Iceland (RÚV), Ireland (RTÉ), Israel (IBA), Norway (NRK), Portugal (RTP), Romania (TVR), Russia (C1R), San Marino (SMRTV), Slovenia (RTVSLO), Sweden (SVT), Switzerland (SRF), Spain (RTVE) and the United Kingdom (BBC).

The Tour Force One continues tomorrow.

Lordi sends their condolences of A. J. Pero's death

Twisted Sister's legendary drummer A. J. Pero has sadly passed away on March 20, 2015. Lordi honored the memory of A. J. Pero by posting a new photo on their Facebook page with Mr L showing his TS tattoo.

Our deepest condolences to family and friends of A.J. Pero, the drummer of Twisted Sister, who passed away today. Rest in peace, an idol and a friend.

Hella having a baby shower tour

Hella keeps getting tons of presents for her upcoming baby, from the fans. Along with the babyshowering she also got one gift for herself from the gig in Zlin, Czech - new customized shoes (She's not able to wear her high heels at the moment).

Hella herself has posted many pictures of the gifts on her Facebook page and wrote the following:

I'm going to rename this tour as Babyshower tour! I have no words to describe how wonderful it feels to receive all these gifts for my little maggot <3 ! Every gift is so precious to me, sorry if I have forgot to post a pic of some! Thank you thank you thank you <3 <3.

Little news from Hella

There's currently six monsters on the tour! Hella has revealed the reason for the new dress addition in her outfit. She wrote the following on her Facebook page earlier this week:

If you have been wondering why Hella has become chubby and is wearing an extra piece of clothing... I have a baby monster growing inside of me, nearly 5 months old. I will be playing gigs as long as I can, maybe just a little less wild on stage ;)

So Hella will of course take a break for the baby and will be temporarily replaced for the live shows if the band won't take a little break too.

One week to TFO! The opening night in Jyväskylä is cancelled

Lordi was supposed to start their tour next Friday at BeatCon festival in Finland. This will not happen because the entire music portion of BeatCon has been cancelled. For more info check out the message by the authorities.

So, the opening night of Tour Force One will be seen at Progresja / Warsaw, Poland on February 1st.
