Air roars Scare Force One!

The seventh Lordi-album SCARE FORCE ONE is finally out in Europe and North America! Check it out on Spotify and buy the box-set with cd and comic book versions of the album! So far seems the Japanese version with still unknown cover song will be released in end of the month. All official lyrics can be found now on our Releases page.

Last Saturday Lordi performed their first gig with SFO outfits and songs. Also some new props and creatures were seen on the stage. Check out the setlist here. Some pictures are coming on our Gallery and also on German fansite Lordicted.

SFO was voted as the release of the month on Loudvire.

New Lordi video is out! This time the music video was filmed for the title song "Scare Force One", not for the single "Nailed By The Hammer Of Frankenstain" which already has a lyrics video.

Our LORDI HALLOWEEN COMPETITION is here! Draw your version of the SCARE FORCE ONE airplane and share it on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr or Instagram with hashtag #lordiarmy. The old school guys can also send their planes via email to [email protected]

The drawing can be anything and done with anything. It may be a free interpretation, copy of the original subject or new version of the original subject with some own details. The competition starts today and since you send your monsterplane before November 8 you might be the first one to see some upcoming special-stuff...

In the air a frightful thing, part animal, part machine.. Swooping down on bat-like wings to shred using razor teeth. Air roars SCARE FORCE ONE!

The release of the new album is getting near and Mr L has told some more details of the band's upcoming album and tour. Check it out on Lordicted in German or English! You can also prepare yourself for the new album by listening The United Rocking Dead!

The SFO will be released in Europe on October 31 and the release concert follows the next day at The Circus in Helsinki, Finland!! The USA release is set on November 3.

Mr L is having a little promo tour in Finland. He visited for example on Radio Rock to talk about the Monsterman movie, in The Circus to promote Lordi's upcoming release gig and tomorrow he will be seen on MTV3 channel at 20:05 as a live guest of Posse talk show.

New single, music video and bonus track coming

The next single to be released from the upcoming album Scare Force One is the album's title song, "Scare Force One"! The song will also get music video soon. The video is already filmed.

The Japanese release of the album will have a bonus track, as always. This time it will be a cover song. Stay tuned!

Monsterman movie shows only one half of the truth

MONSTERMAN, the documentary film about Lordi through Mr L's life had its world-premiere last night in Finnish cinemas.

The documentary film is good and professional movie, but it only shows one half of the truth. The director decided to focus on all the negative things that happened to Lordi in the past few years. All the good stuff was left out. And as the name of the movie tells, the focus was on Mr L and his life, not on Lordi and their lives.

The movie also tells untruthful info about Mr L. The film gives off the impression that he felt bullied as a kid which isn't the case. The film also gives off the impression that he makes the decisions about Lordi with his family and friends. In real life all the decisions are made by the band and nobody else. The film just leaves that out. The director wanted scenes of Mr L with his mother which he felt awkward as he does never consult his mother regarding the band.

The band gave all their video material of Lordi's history, videos from tour, writing sessions, recording sessions, photo sessions, backstages, etc. Any of these was not used in the film.

The director also decided to include a scene where we can clearly see one ex-member unmasked though Lordi's stance has always been and will always be that any previous or current member of the band can not be seen unmasked in the context of the band.

The movie is not what the band wanted it to be. Lordi boycotted the premiere and they didn't show up in the premiere party in Rovaniemi.

However, the director Antti Haase has stated that he tried to respect Lordi as a band and Mr L as an artist while making the movie and stands behind his film.

The "MONSTERMAN" documentary movie that follows Mr Lordi's life is going to have its world premiere in Finland next month. The movie is spoken in Finnish but it will be subtitled at least in English. The official trailer of the movie is out now!

New album SCARE FORCE ONE out on October!

The full name of the seventh Lordi album is SCARE FORCE ONE and it will be released in the end of October, on Halloween.

For the first time in 2010's Lordi recorded their studio album in Finland. The recording sessions was started on early June in Finnvox studio in Helsinki. On July the band moved to Lapland and continued the recordings in a place called Mesopotamia. It's the summer place of a former famous Finnish actor Spede Pasanen.

The album is being mixed by Mika Jussila at the moment and Mr L is working with the cover artwork. Also the new look of the band will be revealed soon.

The first official Lordi exhibition "The Other Side of Lordi" was opened last weekend. Mr L and Amen appeared at the exhibition during the opening night. Check out a short interview with them (Finnish)!

Now the band has left Finnvox. The recording sessions continues at secret place in Lapland. The promoshoot with the new outfits is also done. First photos will be released probably on September.

Studio sessions started today!

Lordi started the recordings of their seventh studio album today with the producer Mikko Karmila. At the same time Mr Lordi is working with the band's new costumes. The album name is still known only as SFO by the actual name initials. The studio is Finnvox in Helsinki, Finland. Next month the band will move to secret place in Finnish Lapland to continue the recordings. The release for the album is set on Halloween 2014.

Despite of the preparations for the next album the band will play at the following festivals:
June 27 - Tallinn Star Weekend / Tallinn, Estonia
July 26 - Rock Of Ages / Seebronn, Germany

Lordi's gig at Festiwolf festival in Porsel, Switzerland has been cancelled.

Lordi will start their summer festival tour in the end of this month at Walsbüll Open Air in Germany!

In ESC 2014 final there was seen a "Museum of Eurovision history" sketch. Lordi joined the video by performing short cut of their winning song "Hard Rock Hallelujah" as a "live show" for the kids.

Mr L & Amen visited on Doro's two concert

Amen and Mr L were featued as special guests during Doro's anniversary show on May 2. The show included a symphonic version of Lordi's "Hard Rock Hallelujah". The sexy monster duo appeared also during Doro's "All we are". On May 3 Mr L sang a duet with Doro and Amen watched from the crowd. Here's three video clips from the concert:

The Other Side of Lordi

More info about the very first official LORDI exhibition! The exhibition is named as "The other side of Lordi" and it will be seen in this summer in Savonlinna, Finland. The opening night is on June 28, and you have a change to visit the exhibition until July 29. This unique exhibition will include masks, costumes, artwork and memorabilia. And there will also be some exclusive Lordi merchandise on sale.

So yes, the name and everything about SFO still remains secret. At the moment the band is writing songs and recording demos for the album.

The new single "Miksi?" (eng. "Why?") from a rap duo Postikortteja Helvetistä, feat. Hella in vocals, has been released today! The Finnish song tells about a hard childhood. By buying the single you will also participate in the charity for young people and adults recovering from drug and alcohol addictions (Asema78 rehab center).

The single is available on iTunes, Google Play and Spotify.

I got to experience something musically different when I was honoured to be a featuring artist in a project called Postikortteja Helvetistä (in English, Postcards from Hell) and wrote & sang in finnish a vocal part for their new song.

A Lordiful start for 2014

The 2014 started with Lordi wishing happy New Year on Hella's YouTube channel. The video was uploaded last night. In the video the band revealed some new info about the year just started.

Tour Beast Or Not Tour Beast tour will continue. The band starts to write the material for the new album in next week. The initials of the upcoming album are SFO.
